Field Application Specialist, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry

The position can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne; however the nature of the role is such that you will travel extensively, both intra and interstate travel. It is envisaged that you will integrate into the team and provide a valuable contribution in the following areas:

* Servicing existing customers’ needs
* Providing highly technical support across a variety of application areas
* Promoting the range of instruments and consumables

To be successful in this challenging role, you need to posses the following skills:

* Tertiary qualification in Life Science (Molecular Biology / Biochemistry or Related)
* 3-4 years Research Experience
* Technical expertise in DNA extraction and PCR
* Technical Ability in use of Instrumentation
* Ability to Trouble Shoot and Resolve Complex Problems
* Practical experience with other Life Science techniques would be an advantage
* Ability to Work Autonomously and as Part of a Team
* Ability to Impart Scientific / Technical Information
* Customer-focused
* Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills
* Strong Organisational and Planning Skills
* Excellent Computer Skills
